MANDALA LAUNCHES FOUR NEW DESTINATIONS

Mandala Airlines has launched special promotion airfares to celebrate the opening of new routes to four destinations – Jambi, Bengkulu, Pontianak and Pangkal Pinang.

Apart from enjoying the enhanced level of safety and service provided by Mandala, these cities will also benefit from the arrival of the new Airbus A320s. Previously they were served by older aircraft.

Mandala Chief Executive Officer, Warwick Brady, said the opening of the new routes was in response to domestic demand, particularly during the Lebaran period in October 2008.

With its new Airbus 320s, Mandala Airlines is providing its unique brand of friendly and punctual services for up to 180 passengers; while its A319s can carry up to 144 passengers. The four new destinations are important because of their large population and huge potential for growth.

“Mandala passengers can now fly to these cities and connect to major destinations – namely Surabaya, Semarang, Jogjakarta, Denpasar and Pekanbaru,” he added.
